# How to Create WhatsApp Campaign

A WhatsApp campaign allows you to send the **same message to many contacts at once**.\
It is commonly used for:

* Promotions
* Announcements
* Event reminders
* Bulk updates

### 1. Before You Begin

Ensure the following prerequisites are completed:

1. WhatsApp channel is connected
2. An approved WhatsApp message template is available
3. A contact list with target recipients is created

### 2. Navigate to Campaigns

1. Go to the **left sidebar**
2. Click **Campaigns**
3. The Campaigns page displays a table of existing campaigns with:
   * Campaign Name
   * Trigger Date
   * Channel
   * Target List

### 3. Create a New Campaign

1. Click **Create Campaign**
2. Enter a unique and recognizable **Campaign Name**

### 4. Set Channel and Recipients

1. Select **Channel: WhatsApp**
2. Choose **Recipient Type: List**
3. Select the target **Contact List** from your existing lists

### 5. Choose Message Type

1. Select **Message Type: WhatsApp Template**
2. Choose from your list of **approved templates**

### 6. Fill in Template Parameters

If the selected template contains placeholders (parameters), configure them as follows:

* **Text Parameters**
  * Enter values manually, or
  * Use contact variables such as `{{ contact.firstname }}`
  * Browse available variables using the variable selector

* **Media Parameters (if applicable)**
  * Upload the required media file (image, video, document)
  * Use the **Upload Resource** option

*Example:* Personalize your campaign with `{{ contact.firstname }}`, which auto-fills each recipient’s first name.

### 7. Test Your Campaign

1. Click **Create and Test**
2. Review your message in the **preview window**
3. Select a contact (e.g., yourself) for testing
4. Click **Send Test Message** to validate the campaign output

### 8. Launch Your Campaign

After testing is successful:

* Click **Send Campaign**
* Choose one of the following options:
  * **Send Now** – Launch immediately
  * **Schedule for Later** – Define a date and time for future delivery

### 9. Monitor Campaign Performance

Once the campaign is active, monitor:

* Number of contacts messaged
* Delivery success rate
* Read receipts
* Failed attempts

*Failures may result from invalid numbers, opt-outs, or delivery restrictions.*
