# Assign to AI Agent

The **Assign to AI Agent** action Assigns the conversation to a AI agent. This is useful for building modular, specialized bots that handle different parts of the customer journey.

#### Configuration Field

* **AI Agent**\
  Dropdown to select the specific agent to continue the conversation. Agents are categorized as:
  * **Conversational AI Agents**: General-purpose bots for free-form conversation and information retrieval.
  * **Flow-Based AI Agents**: Journey-based bots built in the Studio, designed to follow structured, predefined flows.
